1 - Double clicking on a clip opens the Inspector.   The Inspector has three sections: Clip, VIdeo and Audio.

Whether you double click on a Clip in the Project Library (1a), or in your Event Library (1b),  the Video, and Audio windows are the same.

3 - To inspect or changes settings, click on one of the sections; Clip, VIdeo or Audio listed at the top of the window.

4 - I won’t expand on the VIdeo or Audio settings at this time, other than to encourage you to play around with them. You can always Revert back to the Original setting.  Just click the button.

5 -  If the clip has not been Analyzed, and you notice camera shake, click Analyze Entire Clip.  This may take a few minutes.

Note: If you would like to see more instructions on this topic, or have tips you would like to see added, click this link to send an email. mailto:info@hughsmac.com?subject=add%20to%20iMovie%20Inspector

2 - You can also open the Inspector by clicking the button, before, or after selecting the clip(s) you want to inspect.

The Clip Inspector allows you to analyze individual clips for Stabilization.  If this was already done, i.e. when you imported the clips,  it will indicate it.  See fig. b.
