Selecting Photos for an Album
Selecting Photos for an Album
4 - Want all the pictures in a row? After selecting the first picture, hold the “shift key” down and click on the last in the series.
5 - Select “File” from the Menu Bar.
7 - Name the album.
8 - Click “Create”.
On the “Basics” page we talked about making an album as soon as photos were imported while all pictures were still highlighted. Now we’ll show you another way to choose pictures.
1 - Click on “Photos” in the Library.
2 - Find the first picture you want to put in a new album and click on it.
3 - You’ve selected the first, nocate the next picture you want to use. Hold the Command Key down while clicking on this picture. Do this for more individual pictures to select only some of the photos. Then go to Step #5.
Note: Don’t click on so many that you might loose track. Once you have made your album you can add more pictures easily. See Step #10.
Caution: One accidental click without holding the “command key” down, and the others are no longer highlighted.
6 - Click on “New Album From Selection”.
9 - Your album will be listed under “Albums”.
Want to add more pictures to your album?
10 - Follow the previous steps to select some pictures.
11 - While the pictures are highlighted, move your pointer over one of the pictures, press down to hold them. Now slide your pointer over top of the Album you want to put them in and let go. You guessed it, this is called “Drag and Drop”.
12 - Notice the “ghost image” and the number of pictures being moved.
Click on any picture in the new album and use any of the features to “work” with the picture, just like you can in the Library. Note that any editing done in an album edits the original picture in the Library. See more on Editing here.
To delete a picture in the new album, just click once on it and press your “delete” key. It will be removed from the album, but not from the Photo Library.
Want some individual pictures? Go to Step # 3.
Want a series of pictures? Go to step #4.
